Circus Horse

This was my second project for a college course I had called Methods of Design. We were to find a piece of art that we didn't like and recreate it, "fixing" whatever we felt was wrong with the original piece, but still being able to see the similarities between the original are recreated piece. 

The original piece I chose is called Circus Horse by Joan Miro: (www.artic.edu/aic/collections/…). My main objective was to make the horse look more naturalistic...as someone who spends a lot of time around horses, I felt somewhat insulted looking at Miro's interpretation of a horse. Mediums used were pencil, ink, and colored pencils. Had a lot of fun with this one. Definitely one of the best art/drawing projects and courses I had to complete.
